Praying For Her Legs

Praying For Her Legs – Part 2

Pray For Her Legs

Now you may be thinking some crude joke in your head, and that is another issue that we need to discuss at another time. In all seriousness this is about you praying for your wife. We, as the husbands, need to ask God to strengthen and sustain our wife, so that she can walk and not faint and will not tire of doing good.

31 but those who trust in the Lord
will renew their strength;
they will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary;
they will walk and not faint.
(Isaiah 40:31 HCSB)

This is a very familiar verse that can be found on photos or other artwork. However, today, I want you to look at it in regards to your wife. I don’t know about you, but in my house, my wife never stops! Being a school teacher of three kids, home maker, bread baker, laundry queen and super mom that she is, she is constantly on the move around the house. Yet at night, she gets to relax in the tub and just chill with a book. A time that she treasures! I need to be praying for my wife at the beginning of the day that her legs will hold out for the day. I need to be praying for her to run if necessary and walk throughout the day and not become weary or faint. Our wives need to know that we as the men of the house are praying for them to make it each and every day.

13 Brothers, do not grow weary in doing good
(2 Thessalonians 3:13 HCSB)

Now I know that some of you are going to look at this verse and think “Hey, it says brothers, not sisters!”. So let’s get that first part clarified. Brothers can also mean persons united by a common interest. So as our wives are going about, let them not grow weary in doing good. As women move, they talk! It is a proven fact that women use roughly 20,000 words a day compared to that of 7,000 for a man. I am praying that as my wife moves about throughout her day, that the words that she speaks are good and are doing good for someone. I pray that she will be helping others in good deeds. I pray that when others criticize her actions that she will not grow weary and continue. So many times we will let a few negative words stop us from doing what is good. Let us pray for our wives to stay strong, not grow weary, not faint, and not grow weary in doing good.

Next time guys we will be talking about praying for your wives arms!

Till next time…
