The Race – Part Three – Go!

Well guys are you ready to go? Here is the final part of this short series for the men who are ready to run the race. It’s not going to be easy, I know that along the way I will get hurt, but in the end I believe that my kids are worth it! So…Gentlemen…On Your MarkGet Set

The biggest issue of this last part is direction. Guys are you running toward or away from God? If you have been following along with this series, then you should be running toward God! Yet there are things in our life that we will tend to run away from God with. There are things that we think since we can hide away from our family and that God does not see it as well. The truth of the matter is that God can see everything that we are doing and know everything that we are thinking. There is nothing that we can do, say or think that God does not know.

The other option is that we are running toward the places we are needed. In our homes and churches. We need to run to our wives and children and embrace them in love. We need to let our prayers wash our wives as it states in Ephesians 5:26 making her holy. We need to teach our children diligently as stated in Deuteronomy 6:7-10. We need to be men of honor and without reproach in our churches as it is stated in 1 Timothy chapter 3.

We should be pushing off the mark with all that is within us and run the race that is set before us as men of a Holy and Righteous God!

Hebrews 12

Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB)
12 Therefore, since we also have such a large cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us lay aside every weight and the sin that so easily ensnares us. Let us run with endurance the race that lies before us, 2 keeping our eyes on Jesus, the source and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that lay before Him[c] endured a cross and despised the shame and has sat down at the right hand of God’s throne.

It is time for us as Men of God, Fathers of our children and Husbands of our wives to run the race!
